Who I am

A photo of Aisling D'Art (Eileen Morey) from 2023, at Dunedin Beach, FloridaI’m Aisling D’Art – https://aisling.net

I’ve been involved with mailart for over 20 years. Currently, my focus includes making artcards… postcards (sometimes sent in envelopes) that feature my own art, often original art on each, different postcard.

Sometimes, these artcards are part of a larger project, such as my Moons series.

More often, they’re just cards that I send to friends – and people who ask for them – as something fun and cheerful.

Most of my artcards are sent to people within the U.S., where postage is a bit more affordable, but I also send artcards internationally, when whim + budget permit.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, the software is likely to collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website – in your comments (where that may be possible, in some cases) – you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.

Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Keep that in mind. (We travel a lot; any location suggested by one of my images is likely to be temporary.)

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites

Suggested text: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. However, since I’m the only one running this website (as of early 2026, anyway), I think that’s a moot point.

Also, I do NOT share your name + mailing address with anyone, and – short of a very weird glitch – NO one except me can see your mailing address. Really, the main reason I’ve set up this website is so people can see some of my artcards, and easily sign up to receive one.

You can also provide your mailing list via private messages at social media sites like Facebook. (My username is Aisling D’Art.)

However, if you’re keen on privacy, I’m not sure I’d trust the ‘bots at Facebook… even in private messages.

BUT… you can send me a postcard – with your return address on it – to: Aisling D’Art, PO Box 594, Portsmouth, NH 03801. (Since we move/travel often, you should probably verify my current address via a private message at Facebook… just in case.)

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I (okay: the WordPress site ‘bots)  can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), the site also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own, personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data the site holds about you, including any data you have provided to us. (That may take some time; I have no idea how to access that info. I’m a geek… but not that kind of geek.)

You can also request that I erase any personal data the site holds about you. This does not include any data this site is obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

In reality: I don’t save any info about you, except – short-term – where to send mailart or an artcard IF you asked for one.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

That’s all. I don’t share your personal information or address with ANYone. Period. I mean it.
