If you’re trying to use a heavy-ish DSLR or video camera on your standard tripod, this tilt head may help get the shots you want. Holds at least six pounds.

This is a compact but heavy-duty tilt head that will hold a heavy DSLR camera (up through six pounds). It’ll fit on most tripods, too.
It’s a no-frills head, but I hadn’t expected anything fancy. Just something to make it easier to pan my camera when I’m taking photos – and filming – outdoors.
For that, this is a very good value.
Tip: Make sure your tripod is designed for a DSLR camera’s weight. Otherwise, once you’re tilting it – even with this smooth-moving hardware – the tripod can tip over. (I have a special tripod – purchased at Amazon – that’s designed to hold 20+ pound video and still cameras.)
