Sooo… I’m (finally) getting back to sending out free artcards. They’re generally around 4″ x 6″. These will look like the image above… the colored version, not the black-and-white one.
They’re original art, sent in the mail. I’ll be sending them out – as I color them (maybe 5 a week?) – through the end of 2025. But, in general, I’m planning to send 100 of these artcards – as mailart – by March 2026 or so.
These are my hand-drawn designs – eight different “irregular blocks” drawings – that I’ve printed on card stock (heavy white paper). Then, as time permits, I’m coloring them by hand with colored pencils or watercolor paints.
And then, as I complete them, I’ll send each one out… as postcards, not in envelopes. They’re mailart!
These are FREE, sent out at random times, as I complete them. (Don’t pace the floor, waiting; depending upon how many I’m sending and when… you may not see yours for months.)
IMPORTANT: Your card may or may not reach you (after all, it is the postal system) and they may or may not arrive clean and intact.
But, IF you’d like to receive one, send your postal mailing address to: artcards3 @ aisling.net (If you sent me your address today – perhaps from a post, elsewhere – or since I’m posting this here on 28 Oct 2025 – don’t send it again.)
NOTE: I will NOT share your address with anyone else, or with any companies, etc.
Similarly, this ONE postcard is all you’ll receive from me, unless you ask for additional freebies. (In other words, I won’t spam you or fill your mailbox with junk mail.)
ALSO NOTE: I’ll be sending cards to U.S. friends first. International cards will be sent as time/whim/budget permit. (Inside-the-U.S. postage is a little over 10% of what international postage is… $20 cents v. $1.70.)
And yes, these are FREE for everyone who asks.
NOTE: Your actual card may be different from the one at the top of this page. (Remember, I’m working with eight different line drawings.) It will be individually hand-colored, and will probably be brighter and more irregularly colored.
